Blast From The Past

Back in 2013, CANDi teamed up with a group of CFL players in Cancun, Mexico for a life-saving sterilization clinic. These athletes—Chris Cvetkovic, Buck Pierce, Brady Browne, Jabari Arthur, Ian Logan, Andre Durie, and Chris Getzlaf—traded the field for the frontlines of animal welfare, helping reduce pet overpopulation and raise awareness.

Hundreds of stray cats and dogs received care, and the players brought heart, visibility, and hands-on support. It was a powerful reminder of what happens when compassion meets teamwork.

This clinic helped shape CANDi’s mission and showed how tourism and animal welfare can work together. We’re proud of that moment—and grateful to everyone who made it possible.
