These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the donation services, website, and related platforms operated by CANDi – Cats & Dogs International Inc. (“CANDi”, “we”, “our”, “us”). By making a donation, creating an account, or using our services, you agree to these Terms.

If you do not agree, please do not use our services.

  1. About CANDi

CANDi – Cats & Dogs International Inc. is a registered nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the lives of community animals through humane tourism, advocacy, and grant making programs.

  1. Donations and Payments

CANDi uses Stripe as our secure payment processor. By making a donation, you authorize Stripe to process your payment according to their terms and security standards.

2.1 Accepted Payment Methods

  • Credit and debit cards
  • Apple Pay / Google Pay (where available)
  • Bank payments (where available)

2.2 Recurring Donations

If you choose a recurring donation:

  • You authorize CANDi to charge your payment method on the schedule you select.
  • You may cancel at any time by contacting us or using the link in your donation receipt.

2.3 Tax Receipts

CANDi issues tax receipts for eligible donations in accordance with applicable laws. Receipts are sent automatically via email.

  1. Refund Policy

Donations are generally non‑refundable. However, we may consider refund requests in cases of:

  • Duplicate donations
  • Incorrect donation amounts
  • Unauthorized transactions

Refund requests must be submitted within 30 days of the donation.

  1. Donor Information & Privacy

We respect your privacy. CANDi collects only the information necessary to:

  • Process donations
  • Issue tax receipts
  • Communicate with donors
  • Comply with legal and financial reporting requirements

We do not sell or share donor information with third parties, except:

  • Stripe (for payment processing)
  • Service providers who support our operations
  • When required by law

  1. Use of Funds

Donations support CANDi’s mission, including:

  • Humane tourism programs
  • Community animal welfare initiatives
  • Grants to partner organizations
  • Education and advocacy
  • Operational and administrative costs

Restricted donations will be used for the designated purpose whenever possible. If a program becomes unavailable, funds may be redirected to the closest related purpose.

  1. Website & Platform Use

You agree not to:

  • Interfere with or disrupt our website or services
  • Attempt to access systems without authorization
  • Use our content for commercial purposes without permission

All content on our website is owned by CANDi or used with permission.

  1. Security

Stripe securely processes all payments using industry‑standard encryption. CANDi does not store full credit card numbers or sensitive payment data.

  1. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

  • CANDi is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
  • CANDi is not responsible for issues caused by third‑party services, including Stripe.
  • Your use of our services is at your own risk.

We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Last Updated” date will reflect the most recent version.
