How We Began

In the early 2000s, Darci vacationed to Cancun, Mexico with her three daughters, where they encountered stray, malnourished dogs roaming the streets near their hotel. Upon investigating, they discovered that the local community did not have the funds and resources to address the animals' health issues or manage their population humanely. Determined to make a difference, they resolved to find a solution upon returning home.

This sparked the idea of organizing free spay-neuter clinics in popular resort areas to ensure humane treatment for animals. What if they could recruit veterinarians and animal professionals to volunteer during their vacations? Could corporate travel companies sponsor such events to promote sustainable tourism in these destinations? And could local communities assist in providing essential services?

With these questions in mind and extensive planning underway, their journey began.
